What sources of news does ORMganic monitor?
ORMganic covers just about every mainstream and social media outlet on the web. Newspaper articles, magazines, blogs, images, video, Facebook and Twitter are just some of the types of content ORMganic monitors.
Why should I use ORMganic when Google Alerts is free?
Google Alerts only monitors content available through one of Google’s search engines. ORMganic monitors many more web channels than just Google. In addition, ORMganic allows you to save items, sort them, share them via email, and subscribe to an RSS feed–Google Alerts offers none of these features. Lastly, for every item discovered, we show you how much of an influence they have on your reputation.
Why isn’t ORMganic showing me a blog post/tweet that I know was previously published?
While we would love to keep an archive of everything ever published to the web, we simply don’t have the ability to do so. When you first enter your search query, ORMganic shows a snapshot of results from the past few days. Once you save your search, ORMganic will discover any newly published items.
What does “saved searches” mean?
ORMganic does not limit the number of saved searches you have active at any time. In order to have ORMganic conduct a thorough search of the web every 30 minutes, you need to save your search. If you do not save your search, you will only ever see a small selection of results.
Why does ORMganic’s sentiment analysis show “neutral” for every result?
Unfortunately, automated sentiment analysis is notoriously inaccurate. Many studies have shown that computers are not yet able to fully determine the sentiment or tone of the human language. Not only is sarcasm disregarded, but what you may believe to be negative to your reputation, a computer may think otherwise. With this in mind, we offer manual sentiment tagging. If you wish to mark a discovered result as negative or positive, simply click the corresponding color. If you’d rather not worry about sentiment tagging, you can simply ignore this option.
Does ORMganic support French or other languages?
While ORMganic offers global coverage, and is able to display results in many languages, we only officially support English.
I’m not seeing all mentions of my keyword, why?
When you first search ORMganic, we show just a snapshot of results on the web. When you save your search to your dashboard, it instructs ORMganic to check for newly published items every 30 minutes.
Why don’t we have that blog post that was published last year?
Quite simply, we don’t have the capacity to index the entire web. We only starting indexing new items when a user saves that keyword to their dashboard.
What payment options does ORMganic accept?
All of our billing is handled through PayPal. It’s safe, secure, and you can pay by credit card, check, or bank transfer.
You don’t even need to set up a PayPal account to use PayPal.
ORMganic is missing results.
Most likely, your search query has not been saved to your ORMganic dashboard. When you “search” for a keyword or keyphrase, ORMganic displays only a small percentage of results. When you save your search, ORMganic then starts adding all new results to your dashboard.
